VAIKUNTA EKADASI 8-1-2017 Sunday……&……. 29-12-2017
Vaikunta Ekadashi is one of the most important Ekadasis. Ekadashi is an auspicious day dedicated to Bhagvan Srihari Vishnu and falls on the eleventh day
of every lunar fortnight in traditional Hindu calendar. There is no Vaikunta Ekadasi in 2016. In 2017, the date of Vaikunta Ekadasi is Sunday, January 8.
Swarga Vasal or or Paramapada opening is from 3:00 AM on January 8, 2017. Please note that in United States and UK it is marked on January 8, 2017.
In Australia and New Zealand it is marked on January 9, 2017. Vaikuntha Ekadasi is observed in the Margali Month (Margazhi Masam) as per Tamil Calendar and in Dhanur Masa as per Telugu Calendar.
Vaikuntha Ekadashi is also known as Mukkoti Ekadasi and in Kerala it is known as Swargavathil Ekadasi.
Vaikunta Ekadasi festival is more elaborately celebrated by Vaishnavites. It is more prominent for Tamil and Telugu speaking people.
Fasting, keep vigil at night and passing through the Vaikunta Dwaram are the important auspicious activities on the day.
Vaikunta Ekadasi is celebrated with great importance in Tirupati Balaji Temple, Srirangam Ranganathaswamy Temple, and Bhadrachalam
Sita Ramachandraswamy temple. Apart from these temples, all the temples dedicated to Bhagvan Vishnu and his incarnations in South India
celebrate Vaikunta Ekadasi.
The most important ritual on the day in temples is the opening of the Vaikunta Dwaram or Paramapada Vasal door in Vishnu Temples.
This door is only opened on the Vaikunta Ekadasi day and devotees are allowed to pass through it. Symbolically the door leads to the
Vaikunta – abode of Vishnu.
Vaikunta Ekadasi – 1 -1 – 2015

Vaikunta Ekadasi – 11 -1 – 2014
VAIKUNTA EKADASI 11-1-2014 (also called as MUKKOTI EKADASI) that occurs during the Dhanurmasa period (between December- January month). According to Hindu Shasthras In Temples the Northern Entrance known as Paramapada Vasal – the gate to Vaikunta – is opened once in a year at 4.45 AM, only on Vaikuntha Ekadashi day. Decorated Abhaya Hastha Hanuman was placed at Northern Entrance of Sanjeevini Peetam, and MATHAJI performed Puja early in the morning between 4.30 – 5 AM. We had Darshan of Anjaneyar and Mathaji’s blessings on this auspicious day.
SIGNIFICANCE OF VAIKUNTA EKADASI.
We had the opportunity to listen to Mathaji’s short discourse on Vaikunta Ekadasi and its benefits. All cannot be explained here, but I briefly mention certain points that I could recollect and put down here.
VAIKUNTA DARSHAN
Generally we breathe through one nostril of nose and the other one is closed for an hour. This cycle take place throughout the day of our life. The nostrils are known as ILA NADI (Left) and PINGLALA NADI (Right). Both the nostril holes join at the centre of forehead between two eyebrows (SUSUMNA NADI).
On this auspicious day early morning at 4.45 am one should practice Meditation, take Deep Breath and slowly exhale by chanting OMKARAM. While doing so, you concentrate on OMKARAM passing through the Mooladharam (Spinal cord tail end) upwards and reaches the centre of forehead between two eyebrows known as SUSHUMNA NADI – also known as BRUKUTI STHANAM (Thriveni Sangamam). At that time imagine your favourite God in mind and i.e, real VAIKUNTHA DHARSHANAM. This Divine experience stays forever in your memory (Manasu) and known as GNANA YOGAM.
Generally SUSUMNA NADI in a person opens two times in a day – around 6.00 am. and 6.00 pm. During this time worship GOD of your choice (irrespective of religion) Meditate (Dhyanam), perform Puja & Deepa Aradhana / Bhajans or Reading Bhagavat Gita. Practicing this routinely gives you Positive Energy in your life.
As informed above we breathe with one nostril at a time normally. Whenver you go out of home, step out with RIGHT FOOT first if you breathe PINGALA NADI or LEFT FOOT if ILA NADI. You achieve success in your life.
Mathaji showed these Asanas and made us to perform today and asked us to practice it regularly.

VAIKUNTA EKADASI 24-12-2012
.
Praying for the sake of World Peace, Mukkoti Ekadasi 24.12.2012,
Programme :-
21.12.2012 – It is very well advertised that the world is going to be destroyed on this day. Who is responsible for this, for what reason, how – all these we know little, we do not know little. But, a kind of thinking and fear is there. For those who have held on to Bavishyath Bramha Anjaneya, this type of thinking and fear will not be there.
So, on 23.12.2012 Sunday,on account of Vaikunta Ekadasi and Gita Jayanthi ( my Guru’s birthday ) and for world peace, at Sanjeevini Peetam, Vaikunta Dwara Darshanam will take place early morning at 4.45 a.m and from 12 to 3 noon, parayanam of all 18 chapters from Bhagavath Gita will be done and rendered to Anjaneya because, they say that at the time when Sri Krishna Bhagawan taught Bhagavath Gita to Arjuna, Hanuman who was on the flag, forgetting Himself totally heard everything. Because of this, by doing parayanam of all 18 chapters with complete bhakthi, let us seek His blessings. All are welcome.
21.12.2012 – Regarding destruction, He will look into it – we do not want so much risk. What has to happen will never go without happening. Within this we will atleast earn little ————.
Your’s,
Mathaji Kanya Kumari

VAIKUNTA EKADASI (5.1.2012 4 to 6am) Thursday .

Vaikunta Ekadasi or Mukkoti Ekadasi- dedicated to Lord Vishnu-is the Krishna Paksha Ekadasi that occurs during the Dhanurmasa period in the Hindu calendar. “VAIKUNTA DWARAM” or “THE GATE TO LORD’S INNER SANCTUM” is opened between 4 to 6 am.The sanctum’s northern gate is opened during this time (i.e. Bramha muhurtham). This time is very auspicious because God accepts all types of people with Bhagavath Smarana(chant : OM NAMO NARAYANAYA) and takes them to Vaikuntam, whether he be a sinner or non-sinner. Vaikunta Ekadasi gives the sinner a chance to become a non-sinner from that day, only if his prayers are perfect i.e completely dedicated.Changes in his character will definitely appear for the good. Even a crow bathes knowing the significance of this day. THIS IS THE SIGNIFICANCE OF VAIKUNTA EKADASI.By following limited food, limited sleep and limited work, automatically the mind & body will be in our control. Therefore, everyday will be Vaikunta Ekadasi. Devotees are requested to do Parayanam of 11th &15th chapters from Bhagavath Gita and recite Hanuman Chalisa between 4 to 6 am either at their place or by joining us at Sanjeevini Peetam. Unlimited Success follows unlimited prayer.
