At the outset I thank the T.Nagar talk Dec 20 – Dec 26,2015, informing about the “Bhagavad Geetha Jayanthi on 21st Dec2015 organized by Sanjeevni Peetam of West Mambalam.Otherwise I would have missed the great opportunity I
t was a great day to remember since it was coinciding with Vaikunda Ekadasi. The participants recited all the 18 chapters of Bhagavad Geetha. Hanuman Mathaji explained the meaning,significance of each chapter of the Divine Song.
After recitation of all chapters,again Mathaji explained about the Mahatmya-Glory of the Geetha.
The spiritual programme concluded with Maha mangala Arati with distribution of Mahaprasadam. once again I thank The Sanjeevani Peetam for organizing the celebration of Geeta Jayanthi in a true traditional way in West mambalam.
Every spiritual adherent knows the Peetam is actively engaged in the propagation of Hanuman Chalisa in this country.May the Lord & Hanumanji shower their Divine Grace in all the endeavour of the Peetam.

We are so much blessed by our Global friend Lord Hanuman and our Guru (Amma) to be part in the parayanam of Bhagavad Gita 18 chapters @ Peetam
on the occasion of Gita Jayanthi (21-12-2015). Mathaji said that lord Hanuman loves and fond of Gita. So he will surely listen our parayanam.
One of the devotee Sekar who came to Peetam told he is reciting 18 chapters everyday . Mathaji explained about mind, Gnanam and Vignanam.
SHE requested to read 11 th chapter by knowing its meaning in evening with lighting lamp. We concluded parayanam with Gita Mahathyam.
Excellent explanation about Gita Mahathyam by our Mathaji.Mathaji said that Bhagavad Gita must be added to lessons in school itself.
Surely by 2018 it will happen.
Mathaji explained the essence of each chapter before doing parayanam.

What is the Spiritual Significance of Bhagavad Gita? – Mathaji Talk
The Bhagavath Gita contains divine words emanating from the lips of God Himself. Its glory is infinite,unlimited. None can really describe it. Gita contains the essence of all the four Vedas. Even though the style is so simple and elegant, the thought behind those words is so deep that even a lifelong constant study does not show one the end of it. The virtues, glory, essential character, truth, mystery, worship of God, topics of action and knowledge have been discussed in the Gita. By taking a plunge [holy dip ] in the sacred waters of the Ganga and through the practice of japa of the Gayatri, man attains liberation,no doubt,whereas the student of Gita liberates not only himself but others as well.
The Gita is a perfect quality example [epitome ]of all the scriptures and Gita always emphasizes on practice. The complete essence of this Bhagavath Gita cannot be got even after the mastery of Gita but only by repeated practice in our daily lives.Mastering Gita 108 or 1008 times is of no use.Whatever statements have been made in it are true to the very letter.Atleast follow one word from this and experience the essence of it.
Gita always emphasizes on limited food, sleep and work.Before practising Gita definitely follow these instructions. Inspite of practising this in our daily lives, we do experience difficulties of the past karma, but the rest of our lives should be spent in a useful way like I do. It is my desire and wish that all of you will definitely follow my path and mould your lives according to its teachings.

I am truly blessed that i too am born on this land ,where the Gita has taken its birth and for this i must have done a lot of good deeds in my past birth.
I consider Gita my ”MOTHER, FATHER and GURU”.

On this auspicious day i am definitely going to do the parayanam of the 18 chapters at Sanjeevini Peetam. Lord Hanuman is very fond of Bhagavath Gita. He was one of the four people to have heard the Bhagavath Gita from Lord Krishna directly and seen the Vishwaroopa form. I am sure he will definitely listen to our parayanam too, if it is said with total sincereity and devotion. I would like all the devotees to do the parayanam of these chapters at their respective homes. For those who find it difficult to do the parayanam of all 18 chapters, parayanam of chapter 12 and 15 can be done. No particular prasadam has to be done for this Jayanthi. The real prasadam is buying Gita books,high lighting its essence and distributing the books to everybody.
