Day before Ganesha Chathurdhi, Sanjeevini Peetam conducted Eco Friendly Ganesh Idol Making Competition for children aged 7 to 11 yrs between 3 to 4.30pm on sunday, the 8th september 2013.
40 children participated making Ganesh idol with Maida dough in an Eco friendly way without using chemical powder,colours,paints etc…
It was really a joyous occasion witnees the involved, innovative creativity brought out from the children by Mathaji. Every idol made was different from each other reflecting the virion, mind-set and spiritual
outlook of the participants and the guidence provided by their parents. A noteworthy aspect is the zeal in a class teacher of KRM Public School, who has taken efforts in bringing 17 children in their school van in spite of a holyday for the school, the festival on the next day and her domestic needs.
But it is sickening to observe a few of the participants who have tailor-made of the idol from home and , nietly using them in the competiton. All such negative role were videographed and photographed by the lensmen of the peetam.
After the prize distribution, Ganesh pooja was performed with 108 Varieties of leaves, that are known to be herbals in health cure to us and the day ended with a Sathsangam on Bhagavath Gita, headed by Mathaji.
